Sixteenth Section
United Methodist Church

People on the move: sharing God's Word, helping others, and learning
to be everyday Christians.  Isn't it time you came home?

Good things are happening at Sixteenth Section United Methodist Church.  Come be a part of a group of people who are seeking, serving and sharing.  Isn't it time you came home?

Mobile Food Pantry

A Mission of our Youth Group

The Youth realized items in our Food Pantry were going stale, with only 4-5 families being served per year. So the group proposed that we take the food to the community. We are now ministering to 150 families per month. If you are looking for a ministry that is making a difference in people's lives, join us at Sixteenth Section UMC. The Mobile Food Bank is under the supervision of Shawna Criswell and you may reach her at 501-605-2444.

The 16th @ the Sixteenth
Community Dinner

A mission of our Senior Adult Sunday School Class (SASS)

Each month we get together for food, fun and fellowship. Our meal is open to all and free to all. If you want to bring a side dish or dessert, you may.  If you just want to come meet your friendly neighborhood church, don't feel obligated to bring anything. We have you covered. Just notice our LED sign in front of the church for times, dates, and activities.

Sunday School

Our Sunday School classes are the foundation of our church. Come and take part in learning more about your faith.

Bible Studies

We offer seasonal studies during Lent and Advent, and we have studies during the school year for women, adults, and youth.

Holy Sacraments

In the United Methodist Church we offer the sacrament of baptism by sprinkling, pouring, or immersion.  Holy Communion is offered the first Sunday of each month.

Thank you for your interest in 16th Section United Methodist Church.

Here at Sixteenth Section UMC we are committed to serving God by becoming intentional in our discipleship. As we draw closer to God, we draw closer to one another, living out the two greatest commandments to love God and to love others.

Wherever you may be on your spiritual path, at 16th Section you will find the tools to enable you to achieve personal growth. We have Sunday School classes, Bible studies, and we are always seeking out new ways to deepen our walk with God.

It is our desire to help you to find true joy in Jesus Christ at every point in your life, and to encourage an intimacy with God through prayer, Bible study and active service in our church and community.

Come join us this Sunday to see what you have been missing.

35 The next day John was there again with two of his disciples. 36 When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!”

37 When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus. 38 Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, “What do you want?”

They said, “Rabbi” (which means “Teacher”), “where are you staying?”

39 “Come,” he replied, “and you will see.”

John 1:35-39

Jesus invited His disciples to "Come and See." We offer the same invitation today. Come and See what the gospel of Jesus Christ is all about, come and see that you can make life-long friends here, come and see that you can find hope and peace even in the midst of chaos.
